So, the first step is to get a jigger. These are essential tools for bartenders and usually come with 2 different sized ends. Jigger is also a unit of measurement in cocktail recipes. Typically, the larger end measures out one jigger, or 1.5 ounces. The smaller end is normally one half jigger, or 3/4 ounces, or sometimes called a “pony shot”.
